Important Information about our Launch Site
Georges Mills Public Boat Launch
All programs launch from the public beach area at Georges Mills.
Parking
We are only permitted to park in the following places:
- Georges Mills town beach only with a Sunapee residential beach sticker.
- Exit 12 Park and Ride on Rt 89. Car pooling can be arranged from the Park and Ride with a Sunapee resident. Contact us to request help in arranging a carpool.
- Parking on public streets in the Georges Mills area is at your own risk. Please pay attention to parking restrictions.
Launching
We ‘wet launch’ off the point of land on the north end of the town beach. Rowers carry boats from the storage area to the launch site.
Low Noise Level Required
Please be considerate of the neighbors when parking cars, walking to the launch site and while rowing in Georges Mills Harbor. Our application to the Town of Sunapee includes a promise to limit the noise level to as low as possible as there are houses surrounding the launch site. Please limit conversation both at the launch site and on the water to very low levels. Help us to do our best to be good neighbors.
